Set in the very picturesque Flinders Ranges, the Transcontinental Hotel was the first hotel built in historic Quorn in 1878. The hotel is located across from the heritage Old Ghan Railway and surrounded by buildings of its era.

Quorn itself became the cross roads for all trains passing through from north to south or east to west of Australia and subsequently the towns tourism was built around the thriving transport system. The hotel offered a place for these travellors to rest with over 20 rooms upstairs and a large saloon at the entrance.

Today, the hotel has maintained its traditional outback colours, earthy wood tones, original fire places and a beautiful wooden bar which stretches from the dining area to the front bar. Its owners, Alicia and Patrick Finlay are the second generation of the Finlay Family to manage the hotel and have been enjoying meeting the many thousands of people who walk through the pubs doors each year.

They welcome you to come relax and enjoy the serenity of the Flinders Ranges with a glass of wine and a meal from their delicious menu.
